Pamela and Male
Model Have Animal Attraction
How quickly love's flame can burn out. It seems
just yesterday that Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee were talking remarriage, but
now, rumors have Pammy all aflutter over an animal-lovin' male model.
The Lees, who married in 1995, divorced in 1998, and reconciled in 1999, had
been planning to remarry soon. "There is no other one or any other place I
want to be," Anderson told Access Hollywood last year. "We have
to make this work."
No other one, eh? The New York Daily News claims Anderson has fallen
for a Swedish model named Marcus Schenkenberg.
Apparently, the two met a few weeks ago in Monaco, where they were joint
guests of Dan Mathew, director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
PETA was in town to protest the Monte Carlo Circus Festival's treatment of
exotic creatures.
The sparks started flying when Schenkenberg discovered a tiny blackbird
trapped in Mathew's toilet in the Hotel de Paris. Yep, a bird in the toilet.
Maybe the hotel fountain was busted?
Alas, the kind fashion plate picked up the little bird, brought it to the
balcony, and set it free. The gentle act reportedly made the former Baywatch babe swoon, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Schenkenberg
reportedly spent last weekend with Anderson at her Los Angeles home.
"It was heartwarming to see their compassion for animals spark passion
for each other," Mathews told the Daily News.
While Pammy is playing petting-zoo with Schenkenberg, ex-hubby Tommy Lee has
been in the slammer. The rocker recently spent five days in jail for hitting the
booze — a parole violation. Lee is on probation until 2003 for his 1998
assault of then-wife Anderson.
Anderson's reps have confirmed that she has indeed dropped the "Lee" from her last name, perhaps a final indication that she wants nothing more to do with the former spouse she's called "a loser."
