A Los Angeles judge ruled in favor of actress Pamela Anderson Lee in a $5 million breach-of-contract suit filed against her by The Private Movie Co. The suit claimed that Lee had made an oral agreement to make the cable TV movie Hello, She Lied, but that she backed out after she received a better offer to make Barb Wire. Lee said during the trial that she chose not to do the movie because of graphic sex scenes called for by the script. In a decision handed down Tuesday, Judge David Horowitz wrote that the filmmakers had failed to prove "by a preponderance of the evidence" that Lee had entered a contract to make the film. The film was later made as Miami Hustle, with model Kathy Ireland in the role, and without the sex scenes Lee had found objectionable.
